TIME TO CLEANSE OC MOMS

GET READY!!!THE SPRING MIC CLEANING IS COMING UP!!

THIS IS FOR LOCAL OC MIC MOMS

I am super excited about this because I soooo need it!

It was only one year ago almost to the day that I did my FIRST CLEANSE!! It was through that experience that my life was set on a whole new path… And I believe it opened up areas that were closed and junked up and were not allowing me to move forward..

(LIKE MY CLOSET!! LOL)

I went away last year for a week (which was AMAZING..)…But this Spring, I am staying here…to “clean house” and to do it with you.. I fully believe that through this relatively short week, we will be able to process some things in our lives and get us to a place where we can get off the “rat wheel” of life enough to re-evaluate some things that we generally just sweep under the carpet, or turn off the light to and inevitably, just “shut the door”.

The cleanse will be led by an amazing Yoga Master, Diana Christenson, who has had a lot of experience and success with leading others through a guided cleanse.

I am not talking about just drinking juices and depriving your body so you can shed some weight or make you feel better, I am talking about taking the time out to really fully let your spirit, soul and body begin to awaken to your authentic self.

I have chosen “HOLY WEEK”, the week before Easter, intentionally.  It also ironically falls at the perfect time of year for cleansing: THE SPRING!!

This week is a time of reflection, as well as, letting go.

When we are too busy holding onto things, our hands are clenched so tightly, that we cannot receive the blessings that are waiting to be given to us.

So, we are beginning to prepare ourselves now. This week (STARTING NOW), we will be mentally and emotionally preparing ourselves for what we are about to walk through.

How we will do this is to FIRST: check in with yourself and let yourself know that you are ready for a change…

***Begin reading…

Order the book:

“CLEAR YOUR CLUTTER WITH FENG SHUI”  by Karen Kingston http://www.amazon.com/Clear-Your-Clutter-With-Feng/dp/0767903595

Interestingly, this is an integral part of the Cleanse Diana hosts. And it is exactly how I feel we need to look at our surroundings to see how they may be reflecting what is on the inside…

*** MOVIE NIGHT!!

Order the movie:  Fat, sick and nearly Dead on NetFlix https://signup.netflix.com/movie/Fat-Sick-Nearly-Dead/70173634  ( I may also have a movie night coming up if anyone is interested in getting together)

*** Begin adding more raw fruits and veggies in your diet and start decreasing the amount of meat, dairy, gluten and sugar until you cut it out by Monday. (April 2nd)

*** Incorporate Juices and Smoothies at least once per day starting now.

***If you are a coffee drinker, start weaning yourself off by decreasing the amount each day.. EX: If you drink 2 cups/day, decrease to 1, then cut to 1/2, then 1/4.

There is a product called Dandy Blend, http://www.dandyblend.com/, which our  MIC “store” has that is a great replacement for coffee and will also help with the liver part of the cleanse as well.

By Monday, you will be primed and ready to have a great experience.

I personally invite you to join me by reading the Book of Matthew in the Bible … It is a personal choice,  but one I will be doing.. It will give Matthew’s account of Jesus’ life up until Chapter 26 where I will start to read on Thursday and walk the road of what history tells us about what Easter is all about.

It is a powerful way to experience this season.

On Monday, you will be in full swing with preparation and eating a very clean diet, free of dairy, meat, processed sugars and gluten.

Your body will be ready for the week ahead.

Get a journal, a Notepad, a computer file or something you can begin to write down things..as you will therapeutically unfold and release your destiny through this process.

INTENTIONS: MONDAY

**You will set your intention today about what you want to have accomplished in your body through this cleanse.

**You will set your intention today about what you want to clear out of your home that is causing you clutter and anxiety (not everything, just the main 1-2 things that you have the ability to have control over.

**You will set your intention today about what you want to clear and release from your mind and heart that has been holding you from being your authentic self

The juices will be provided by ORGANIC TREE http://organic-tree.com/at a discounted price exclusively for MIC.

I love that we can come together to share this experience and not have to arrange leaving home, reorganizing the entire week of childcare, but only an hour or 2 a day. It is really the best of both worlds, because we live right here in paradise and have so many resources right at our fingertips!!

This is an amazing deal and opportunity that I am excited to have and hope if you are led, will join me 🙂

Blessings,

Dotty 🙂

Keep, Save, or Toss

The closet!

“Ugh it’s so cluttered!” This is what I find myself thinking every time I go in it!  So much so, that I often dread going in to pick out my clothes. All crammed together are  boxes of things I haven’t looked at in years, and clothes squished together so  that I can barely find what I have to wear.  Then, there’s the shoes that are collecting dust that I can’t seem to part with…

Each time I go in to pick out my clothes I think  “I need to get rid of stuff in here”,  but, I just walk out,  try to ignore it and make excuses for WHY I shouldn’t throw away the old stuff.. After all, it’s been so long, surely very soon, something will come back in style, or at the very least, I will need to wear it for a costume party?  Besides all that, where would I even START to deconstruct the mess I have accumulated??

Many of us  unfortunately treat ourselves in a similar way.

We gather the things we think we “need” or ” must have”,  only to find them still hanging in the closet of our bodies, minds and hearts with the tags still on.  Or perhaps we  just continue to hang on to those things that are a comforting to us.

Getting the motivation needed to start clearing away the cluttered areas starts with finding the reason why we want more space in our lives.

Wealth is often confused with abundance.
Having a full closet doesn’t mean that what is filling up the space is actually worth much, any more than having an abundance of food, relationships or other piled up emotions are valuable to you. It just means it’s there taking up space; space that is needed to just be who you are; space that is also needed to receive more valuable, updated and fresh things.

Our physical bodies are often a reflection of what is going on with who we are inside.  By choosing foods that are destructive and not taking care of the “house” that our spirit lives in may be an indication that we need to look deeper into our motivations for how we are treating ourselves.

When our lives, spiritually and emotionally, are cluttered with past entanglements; it inhibits us from bring able to receive the blessings waiting for us.

As we head into this Fresh Spring season, it may be time to take inventory of what is in the “closet” of your life that is holding you back.

Perhaps it’s anger, resentment, or habits that no longer serve you, but rather, you are serving.

Doing this takes courage. It takes being honest with yourself.
Although this is where you usually turn out the lights and shut the door, perhaps this is the year you begin to ask the hard question: save, keep or toss?

Get out those bags and boxes to send some stuff “packing” and get ready to receive the blessings that are coming your way!

If you are ready to take a  journey with us and begin de-cluttering your life  to clear out more space for who you really are;  this may be the time for you.  We are going through a  guided, inspirational and transformational cleanse, coming up the week before this Easter.  It’s the perfect time for renewal.. It could be the start of a new YOU:)

Let’s lose the “dread” and move ahead!

Green Your Body Up

Today is a day we all mostly remember to wear green lest we get the proverbial “pinch” from a pesky “Irish die-hard” St. Patty’s Day themed person.

So, I am sure as you are out and about on your daily routine, you will see more green today than any other day of the year.

In keeping with the green-theme, how about greening up the garment of your health,  along with

donning a green shirt or other adornments to keep your outward body “safe” from the “ouch”.

If you really want to start out your day with a rainbow, then utilize the rainbow of fruits and veggies and add a lot of extra greens.

You will find that this will lead you to the “pot of gold” in your body which equates to vibrant health and vitality.

It may be a great way to “jump-start” the luck of the Irish in your life and set you on a path of new habits that could lead to a journey of wellness.

Making a green smoothie daily  is an easy and yummy way to get you in the habit of getting drinking your rainbow and depositing true wealth in your health “pot o’ gold”.

Here is one of my favorite Green Smoothie recipes!

3 leaves of Kale or a handful of Spinach

½ banana

½ apple

½ cup blueberries

¼ peeled lemon

1 T Chia Seeds

1 tsp spirulina

Water from 1 coconut (1/4 cup coconut meat from the fresh coconut)

Stevia to taste

Lots of Ice

Blend in high-speed blender and yummy!

Add any more superfoods to get even more nutrients and add more water for thinner consistency.

Tip – when starting out with green smoothies, go with a 70/30 ratio of fruits to veggies, then gradually increase the veggies and decrease the fruit content. This is a goal of more optimal daily smoothie drinking!

Blessings,

Dotty 🙂

One Size Fits… “Most”

Shopping has never been one of my favorite things to do.

Even going to the mall seems so time-consuming and not exactly my idea of a great time. Then, there’s the dressing room thing, that all the ladies just “love”; the fluorescent lighting, carnival like mirrors and the pressure of “how’d that work for you” phrase.

Ugh! So, I have found just grabbing a one size fits all shirt or dress usually is a fair bet when I’m in a pinch.

But, the trouble is, that word “all” should be “most” or “some” because it doesn’t always quite “fit”.

As I am on the journey of health and hear from others their formula for success in wellness and advice from people, the more I realize the correlation to my shopping excursions.

There are basic principles to follow in being healthy; clean pure air and water, eating organic and closer to the way food is grown from the earth, without chemicals and genetic engineering.

But, as I have studied countless diet theories through my health coaching school, I have gained a deeper realization of how unique we each have been made.
We have all been born with a specific genetic composition.

In considering what wellness plan will work for you, I believe it is best to begin to pay attention to clues from the best
source you have; your OWN body.

The journey to health belongs ultimately to you.
Read and be empowered with information, but also listen to the clues your own “earthly house” is giving you.

So when shopping for the garment you need for the occasion of vibrant health, make sure you are not just pulling  something off the rack that someone has labeled to make you think it will fit you.

I encourage you to tailor your own garment…
I have a feeling it will be the perfect “fit” 🙂
